Window and Vitrine Displays

This showcases a selection of window and vitrine projects that I designed and oversaw from conception through production.

BOSE Home Speaker 500 Window at Harrods

BOSE Home Speaker 500 Window at Harrods

Bose secured the chance to adorn a 15-foot window at the prestigious luxury retailer, Harrods, in London and I served as the lead designer for the project.

For this design, I was tasked with incorporating the same sound wave art used in online assets. To enhance the concept, I aimed to capture the percussive beats inherent in the music. To achieve this effect, I opted to suspend spheres of varying sizes, colors, and materials from the ceiling. This introduced a dynamic 3D element against a backdrop of flat 2D graphics.

Upon receiving a site survey, I crafted a full-scale mock-up to validate my design and assembled a comprehensive build packet. The packet included precise engineering specifications, facilitating a seamless handover to European vendors. This streamlined the review process, reduced revision time, and eliminated the need for the vendor to generate 3D drawings and specify components, resulting in time and cost savings for Bose.

Given the stringent timeline and budget, meticulous attention to detail proved pivotal to the success of this project.

For the launch of the new soundbar, Bose opted to utilize windows and storefronts for promotional purposes. I spearheaded the design and development efforts for these initiatives. To facilitate seamless product installation, I prepared color-coded front and side views accompanied by material and positioning annotations.

The secondary window had a printed image of the sound bar which was stood and extended beyond the back banner panel. Behind the sound bar image is a set of LEDs to give a halo effect around the sound bar.

The primary window consisted of 7 different layers to complete the look, emulating sound waves to reference the e-comm creative. I was able to send the CAD drawings off to the vendor to have full control of the form and material used on each piece. This was profoundly important because of the way each panel was hung so that the pieces would move slightly from the airflow in the store, creating motion in a static window. Finally, a subtle infinity effect was created when the light from the pedestal reflected onto the acrylic panels.

PUMA X The Batman 49th Street Flagship Window

Crafted to capture the attention of passersby near the PUMA Flagship, this window was created to amplify the launch of DC's "The Batman" product line in conjunction with the movie premiere. The design incorporated various sizes of light boxes and mannequins, showcasing complete head-to-toe looks that are available in-store.

PUMA X Joshua Vides at Wynn Hotel and Resorts Las Vegas

My responsibility was to design a vitrine in one of the main hallways of the hotel to promote the inaugural F1 Las Vegas GP and the Ferrari x Joshua Vides collaboration. This activation included video vinyls, podiums to showcase the footwear, and a mannequin featuring a full head-to-toe look, aiming to generate interest and enhance brand visibility.

This project centered on both the product colors and graffiti designs. The environment was crafted to resemble an art studio, featuring easels to display marketing imagery, brushes, and vibrant paint splatters. The space incorporated several interactive elements, including a motion-based paint kiosk and a photo wall. I assumed leadership of this project, overseeing the design process, collaborating with a vendor, and contributing to the wire-framing for the interactive paint game on the kiosk.

PUMA Flagship 5th Ave Window - Dreamer Launch

PUMA Flagship 5th Ave Window - Dreamer Launch

The Dreamer shoe marked PUMA's return to basketball with a signature shoe and apparel after more than a decade. To bolster the launch, I conceptualized the idea of a locker room as a fitting and playful theme. This approach provided a unique and attention-grabbing showcase for both the footwear and apparel in a single space, appealing to those passing by the store. The unit was designed to be 2-sided, allowing consumers to engage with it from both outside and inside the store, creating a sense of being part of something significant and memorable. This also added a level of intrigue and exclusivity as the product would sell through within minutes of the store opening.

Freestanding tables feature jewelry components, showcasing the latest pieces to capture consumers' interest and entice them to explore the store and shop the complete product selection. These setups are impactful enough to grab the attention of consumers while maintaining visibility into the store's interior. In certain locations, marketing imagery can be positioned behind the tables to promote the showcased products, creating a full window takeover.
